U.S. District Judge Sparkle L. Sooknanan wrote it’s feasible the case could have been brought in the Texas court, and the SEC hadn’t shown a link between the case and the D.C. forum other than the case being a securities matter, but Musk’s argument wasn’t enough to supersede courts’ deference to a plaintiff’s choice of forum.
